Strengthen collaboration
Intelliact enabled Belimed to convert and migrate different CAD/PDM environments to one enterprise-wide platform. In this way, Belimed strengthens the collaboration and communication between the different business units.
Challenge: Breaking down silos
Belimed's design and development data was previously mapped on different CAD and PDM systems. On the one hand, this silo approach inhibited collaboration and exchange between the business units. On the other hand, the intensive maintenance of several equivalent systems unnecessarily blocked internal IT resources. The decisive factors for merging and converting to a common CAD platform were, in particular, cost/benefit considerations and the expected runtime.
Implemented: Migration of converted data
Intelliact has supported Belimed in the conversion of the CAD data and carried out the migration of the converted data to the target system, in particular:
- Extraction of the CAD data from the legacy systems
- Data provision, runtime optimisation and monitoring of the conversion process
- Creation of a migration concept
- Implementation and monitoring of the migration into the target system
- Ensuring post-migration of all actively processed data (delta migration)
- Document metadata mapping and creation of article-document relations

Intelliact was able to optimally support Belimed in this project thanks to its sound understanding of the data and processes. Thanks to many years of migration experience and its continuously improved toolbox, Intelliact was able to react flexibly and quickly to new circumstances and successfully carry out the migration.
