Thanks to innovative, expandable, scalable application architecture
Intelliact has implemented the concept of "Digital Product" in Compona e-commerce and together with its partner Eyekon AG has received three awards at the "Best of Swiss Web Award" 2019:
"The shop solution impresses with speed and practicality. Compared to common off-the-shelf implementations, the implementation is far more elegant, thanks to the orchestration of existing cloud services. It also shines with carefully crafted details such as the filter and recommendation function. The application's clever and slim design makes it possible for customers to access over 40,000 products extremely quickly and easily," says netzwoche.ch
"Being responsible as Solution Architect for the gold project 'Webshop Compona' is of course a great pleasure for me. The award underlines Intelliact's commitment to innovative, extensible and scalable application architectures for the 'Digital Product' concept", says Marco Egli, Senior Consultant at Intelliact.
The BOSW jury of the newly created category "Digital Commerce" evaluated projects that are a benchmark for how products and services are sold digitally today. The result is shown below. The evaluation of digital commerce platforms includes these dimensions are assessed.

This is what distinguishes Compona's catalogue and webshop:
The fact that the enormous amount of data can be browsed so efficiently and with just a few clicks is due to Intelliact's innovative data and system architecture, which is based on React-Redux and links the PIM and ERP systems directly and immediately to the web shop via a lean middleware. For the search and filter functions, the powerful search engine from Algolia was used, which provides excellent performance with the React-based front-end.
This best-of-breed approach allows us to directly access the specialized core functions of the respective systems and avoid the slow and cumbersome detour via specialized shop software. Typical search queries are answered by Algolia in about 50 milliseconds - with rendering this usually results in response times of about 100 milliseconds. Images are delivered by a global CDN (Imgx) and are therefore displayed quickly even with long result lists.
A responsive design with innovative UX elements - implemented purely with CSS by our partner Eyekon - ensures an optimized display on all end devices. Although it is a single-page app (React-Redux), each page can be accessed via its own URL. Rendering with Javascript is no problem for the Google bot. Other bots (Facebook, Bing, etc.) get the HTML and CSS delivered directly without Javascript so that the pages can be indexed. The Google Lighthouse score for SEO is thus 100 percent.
