What it's all about
New systems for greater efficiency and data consistency
The aim of this project was to replace the CAD and PDM system environment in Accelleron's product development and manufacturing organization, which was no longer being developed by the supplier, with new, modern systems.
Project challenges
Mastering complex geometry contours and data migration
The existing systems had been used by the CAD engineers, calculation specialists and CAM experts at Accelleron for many years and had been continuously optimized during this time. Replacing these established systems was correspondingly complex. Countless processes and procedures had to be adapted to the new possibilities. At the same time, the software was further developed based on numerous inputs during this intensive period. The biggest challenges during the changeover were in the area of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM). On the one hand, only a small amount of data could be transferred from the previous system, while on the other, the complex geometric contours of the products required many optimizations in the software itself.

Analysis, design and implementation of the new system landscape
Intelliact supported the Accelleron team in the analysis and conception of the new environment in the areas of design, simulation and CAM. Intelliact took over the project management for the actual implementation of the new systems and the migration. After intensive preparation, the new system landscape was put into operation in October 2024 together with Accelleron's core team. Intelliact also played a key role in synchronizing the CAD data structures with the PDM document structures and was thus able to work with the core team to prepare the data for migration to the new environment in the best possible way.
